How Prompt Reviews came to be
Having worked in digital marketing for the last 20 years, in-house and agency side, I’ve become a bit frustrated with how large tech companies like Facebook and Google have monopolized our online experiences and made organic marketing (the kind of marketing that involves effort but not ad dollars) harder and harder to do.
This had always been my specialty: helping businesses show up online without spending thousands on ads and it frustrated that profit was edging out small businesses who didn’t have the budgets to compete.
I was also talking to lots of small businesses that were struggling and unsure how to navigate this new environment where Google sends less and less traffic to websites and just answers people’s questions before they click.
In this climate, it felt to me that small businesses were under threat and I wanted to see if there was someway I could help on a bigger scale then just advising my clients. A Linkedin by Amanda Natividad inspired me.

She was talking about writing reviews, recommending small businesses to friends, and sharing posts—tiny actions that make a huge difference.
This struck me because, getting online reviews is something I prioritize with my small business clients. In fact when I first engage with a new client, many have no idea how important reviews can be to their business success. They know they are valuable, sure, but they don’t know how valuable.
The system that I used with my clients to help them get more reviews, which I fine-tuned for over a decade, is what Prompt Reviews is built on. And I didn’t need AI to make it work. I just needed a landing page, and a review template to make it easier for people to write reviews. My clients were often amazed with how easy it was to get reviews once they adopted the right approach.
And that’s how I came up with Prompt Reviews. Yes, it’s an app, but it’s also a proven strategy for getting better reviews, more reviews, and connecting with your clients or customers on a one-to-one basis.
Your review conversion rates will sky rocket
Think about this for a second. When we talk about conversion rates, 2% is often used as an example of good conversion metric. You reach out to 100 people, and 2 of them do what you want them to. What do you think the conversion rate is on asking someone personally to do a favor that takes about 2 minutes?
Text messages already have a 98% open rate. So if you text 20 of your best customers a personal message with a link to write a review how many reviews do you think you’ll get? My guess? 20 (especially if you use Prompt Reviews). Wink Wink.
